Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms we know and love. It's time to raise a glass of bubbly - or a box of bubbly candy - in your honor!

Having honest, true, in depth, connecting conversations that make you feel good. My mom and I have experienced a lot of loss this last couple of year's and sometimes we can cry, laugh, reminiscence, get mad, and probably laugh and cry some more when we have conversations like that.

I am the matriarch of the family now so I guess I'll stay at home and see what happens.

For Mother's Day, my mom & sister came over. We enjoyed a BBQ of hamburgers & hot dogs... and then I whipped up some homemade lemon pound cake for dessert. My sister and I gave my mom some of her favorite decor as a gift-- and then the little girls played outside together.

We are not doing much this Mother's Day, just ordering in a nice dinner and having a day of rest.
