Football season is here and I’m not talking about the NFL.  It is that time of year when moms everywhere cringe in excitement.  If you have a son who loves the game, you know what I mean.  You’re excited he gets to reconnect with all of his football friends and play the game he loves, but you cringe at the thought of injuries.  I was so excited when I got an email from Riddell inviting me to discuss their new campaign to help make football safer for all of our favorite little guys, by teaching them about playing smarter.

When life events happen, you want to be able to share the good and the bad with those you love. Last month, we welcomed a new addition to our family. He is a 4-month-old Austrailian Cattle Dog mix and a pure bundle of energy. Of course with this much cuteness, we want to be able to capture all that we can since like children, they grow up so quickly. We started sharing from the moment we picked him up by snapping photos and sending off texts as soon as we got in the car.

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love to read. When I was in first grade, I couldn’t just read a few pages a night in my Alice, Jerry and Jip reading book for homework. I’d read the entire book and then have to wait for the class to catch up. Yawn!

Strawberries are now in season here too. My sweet daughter stopped by this week with a basket full of freshly picked berries. Thankfully, I have my Rubbermaid® FreshWorks™ Produce Savers on hand. My berries will last much longer.

By now you've probably heard of food prepping. It's a method of performing tedious food prep while you have the extra time so you can reap the benefits when you don't. I've done this quite a bit with freezer cooking and it is a godsend.
